Investigar os efeitos do bordado manual, como técnica de reabilitação motora, na funcionalidade de mulheres mastectomizadas. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado na Associação Toque de Vida, Fortaleza – CE, entre setembro e outubro de 2021. A amostra foi composta por 16 mulheres, escolhidas por meio da técnica de amostragem não probabilística por conveniência. Foram inclusas mulheres mastectomizadas com idade acima de 18 anos, independentemente do período cirúrgico; e foram excluídas deficientes visuais, mulheres que apresentassem amputação de MMSS e disfunção ortopédica prévia. Este estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética sob o parecer nº 4.886.015. Após a 10ª sessão, verificou-se melhora em todos os movimentos avaliados, sobretudo na extensão (26,74%), adução (20,01%) e rotação lateral do ombro (18,58%) dos membros homolaterais. Os efeitos do bordado manual como técnica de reabilitação motora na pós-mastectomia foram satisfatórios ao melhorarem a funcionalidade de mulheres mastectomizadas.
