Os fãs de Harry Potter caracterizam-se pela fidelidade aos valores do cânone, constituído por sentidos e razões morais significativos, noções que normalmente reverberam em suas condutas e compreensões de realidades. Considerando que o Brasil vive uma expressiva circulação de notícias falsas, acompanhadas de discursos alicerçados em reducionismos sociais e ameaças ambientais, buscamos analisar como esses fãs os estão significando. Essa é uma identidade social expressiva que, por meio do consumo, produz significados para si e para o produto com o qual se envolve. Apoiados na Consumer Culture Theory, entendemos que o significado dessas experiências, apesar de serem delineados pela cultura, também a reconstroem. Realizamos uma pesquisa documental em 4 grupos de fãs no Facebook. Nosso corpus foi formado por 1223 comentários, efetuados como respostas a 61 postagens que envolviam a temática. Aplicamos uma análise de discursos funcional e nossos resultados apontaram que três moralidades regem as condutas dos fãs no fandom: os seletivos, os conservadores e os criativos em relação aos valores do universo. Indicamos como é negociada a construção de valores nesses espaços sociais, como eles estão em constante transformação e como são responsáveis por produções de verdades acerca de como se entende que deve ser a vida.
