No contexto atual é comum observar crianças consumindo alimentos de forma excessiva e descontrolada, com baixo valor nutritivo e alto teor calórico, ricos em gorduras, sódio e açúcares. Esse consumo exacerbado reflete a forte influência do comportamento alimentar de seus cuidadores, professores e colegas de classe, assim como a influência da mídia. Sendo assim, analisa-se que os hábitos alimentares inadequados podem colaborar para o aumento de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis em indivíduos cada vez mais jovens, como destaque, a obesidade tem apresentado um crescimento considerável. O presente estudo teve como objetivo principal, avaliar a influência das relações sociais e midiáticas na formação dos hábitos alimentares de pré-escolares. Foi realizada, uma revisão crítica da literatura dos últimos 10 anos, com exceção de uma literatura de 2007, totalizando 20 artigos científicos. Concluiu-se que o ambiente familiar e escolar exerce papel de grande importância na formação dos hábitos alimentares do pré-escolar, uma vez que os mesmos são espelhos para as crianças. Por fim, observa-se que a mídia possui grande influência sobre o consumo de alimentos processados e ultraprocessados.
