Introducción: mediante el aprendizaje los seres vivos adquieren conocimientos sobre el mundo que los rodea, debido a que ciertas áreas cerebrales son capaces de crear redes neuronales. El aprendizaje significativo parte de las experiencias adquiridas y los conocimientos previos, considerado como la forma más completa de aprender, por lo tanto, dentro del área de la salud se requiere problematizar los procesos educativos en la generación de aprendizajes significativos. Objetivo: describir la relación entre los cuidados de enfermería y la importancia de la educación continua entre el profesional mediante el aprendizaje significativo. Material y métodos: se realizó una búsqueda en bases de datos como EBSCO, PubMed y SciELO, las palabras clave empleadas fueron: aprendizaje significativo, conocimiento, enfermería, cuidados, en donde se encontrara la asociación del aprendizaje significativo con relación a los cuidados de enfermería. Conclusión: los cuidados de enfermería y la formación de los profesionales están mediados por la construcción de conocimientos con base a experiencias previas, es decir de lo que se ha aprendido a lo largo de su formación académica, lo cual le permite ejecutar un pensamiento crítico con un aprendizaje autodirigido.
Introducción. Los estilos de vida y la autoestima repercuten en las conductas de salud de la persona con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 (DM2) para mantener un control. Objetivo: Identificar la relación entre estilo de vida y autoestima de personas DM2. Material y métodos: Estudio descriptivo-transversal y correlacional en 81 personas de una comunidad suburbana en San Luis Potosí, México. Se incluyeron adultos y adultos mayores, ambos sexos con DM2 que aceptaron participar. Fueron aplicados: a) Instrumento para medir el estilo de vida en diabéticos (IMEVID) con 25 ítems que pondera como favorable, poco favorable y desfavorable); b) Escala de autoestima con 10 ítems (muy de acuerdo a muy en desacuerdo) ponderándose alta, media y baja. El procesamiento y análisis fue en SPSS versión 20, se obtuvo estadística descriptiva y asociación mediante correlación de Pearson. Resultados: La media de edad fue 57.9 años, y predominio femenino. La autoestima alta se encontró en 62.9% y el estilo de vida en 51.7% de poco favorable a desfavorable, estadísticamente no se asociaron como en otros estudios. Conclusiones: Es necesario promover el estilo de vida favorable, y aunque no se asociaron las variables, la autoestima media-alta es una fortaleza para el control de la enfermedad.
Introducción: a pesar de contar con pruebas de tamizaje para la detección de cáncer cervicouterino aún se presenta como una de las principales causas de mortalidad en la mujer a nivel mundial. Los mitos y vivencias que otras mujeres transmiten pueden convertirse en una barrera para no acudir a realizarse el Papanicolaou. Objetivo: interpretar las vivencias ante la toma del Papanicolaou en estudiantes de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. Material y métodos: estudio cualitativo de corte fenomenológico, conformado por una muestra no probabilística por bola de nieve hasta obtener saturación del dato de 10 personas por medio de la entrevista semi estructurada, de octubre a noviembre 2018. Resultados: la información obtenida se analizó mediante codificación axial a través de dos categorías, y estas a su vez divididas en subcategorías las cuales fueron; 1.3. Conocimientos; 2.INTERACCIÓN CON EL PERSONAL DE SALUD; 2.1. Información que brindó el personal que realizó el Papanicolaou; 2.2. Trato del personal; 2.3. Entrega de resultados. Conclusión: las vivencias de las mujeres que se realizan el Papanicolaou son influenciadas con personal que realiza el tamizaje, ya que en su mayoría resultaron negativas, por la falta de información, los comentarios negativos hacia la persona y la escasa empatía del personal.
