Objetivo: O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão integrativa que tem como objetivo identificar o que a literatura científica tem abordado sobre o papel do gestor de enfermagem pediátrica. Método: O material utilizado foi coletado nas bases de dados PubMed, Scielo e Lilacs, com o auxílio de descritores consultados no DeCS. O critério de inclusão foi o ano de publicação dos artigos e o critério de exclusão foi a ausência de palavras-chaves no título e no resumo. Resultado: Foram encontrados 2.917 artigos, dos quais, 17 atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade e foram incluídos nesta revisão. Conclusão: A literatura abordou três principais esferas que abrangem o papel do gestor como educador que promove e apoia a educação permanente; no dimensionamento de equipes e na promoção de um bom ambiente de trabalho; e no gerenciamento do atendimento de qualidade e na segurança do paciente.
Objective: To investigate the correlation between engagement and quality of life at work in nursing professionals, from a public hospital in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study, with nursing professionals, conducted between December 2020 and January 2021. We used the Brazilian versions of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale and the Walton Model scale. Results: The nursing professionals obtained a strong and positive correlation (r≥0.70) between the social integration domain of QWL and vigor dimension of work engagement (r=0.88; p=<0.001); moderate positive correlation (r≥0.40≤0.69) between QWL working conditions and vigor (r=0.40; p=<0.001), dedication (r=0.40; p=<0.001) and overall score (r=0.41; p=<0.001) of the work engagement. The correlations were positive and weak (r≤0.39) for the other domains of QWL and dimensions of work engagement. Conclusion: Professionals with satisfactory levels of quality of life tended to have higher levels of engagement at work. Professionals were strongly engaged and satisfied with their quality of life at work at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Most nursing professionals scored intermediate levels for fair and adequate compensation (51.9%) satisfactory levels for the other domains, and achieved the highest for social relevance (76.5%), for quality of life. Professionals with satisfactory levels of quality of life tended to have higher levels of engagement at work. Professionals were strongly engaged and satisfied with their quality of life at work at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Método: Os estudos utilizados nesta revisão foram coletados por meio das bases de dados PubMed, Scielo e Cochrane. O critério de inclusão foi o ano de publicação e o critério de exclusão foi a ausência das palavras-chave no título e no resumo. Resultado: As buscas resultaram em 1.430 artigos, dos quais 24 atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade e foram incluídos nesta revisão. Conclusão: A partir da leitura e análise dos artigos, foram identificados 12 principais desafios, sendo que o desenvolvimento de habilidades de liderança foi o principal tema abordado. Devido a complexidade de compreender e superar os desafios identificados, sugere-se novos estudos sobre liderança em enfermagem.
