Si riporta un risultato dell'attività didattica, sviluppato nell'ambito delle attività di Laboratorio del Master "Analisi e gestione del patrimonio paesistico"-Politecnico di Milano, Direttore prof. Santino Langè, Responsabile del Modulo di "Disegno e rappresentazione del territorio e del paesaggio" prof.ssa Maria Pignataro. Il lavoro è stato svolto dalle studentesse arch. Silvia Libera, arch. Manuela Magliano con la collaborazione di Martino Agnoletto, per le apparecchiature e le riprese fotografiche e dell'arch. Italo Pignolo per le applicazioni GIS. Lo studio del paesaggio dell'alto lago di Lecco ha messo in evidenza una realtà paesistica del tutto peculiare, determinata dalla permanenza di una rete di fortificazioni, tra loro collegate visivamente, costruite già in epoca romana e rinnovate fino alla seconda guerra mondiale. La loro collocazione in un contesto naturale di rilevante interesse, il territorio piuttosto vasto caratterizzato dalla sovrapposizione incoerente degli interventi infrastrutturali ed edilizi degli anni recenti hanno determinato la volontà di verificare la permanenza delle relazioni visive tra le fortificazioni, di osservare lo stato di conservazione quelle minori, di controllare la collocazione geografico-amministrativa nei diversi Comuni, nell'ottica di future indicazioni normative per una loro valorizzazione paesistica. L'uso delle tecniche di rappresentazione tridimensionale del paesaggio, correlate alla usuale cartografia GIS del territorio, sono risultate indispensabili, diventando struttura e guida del lavoro di ricerca.
