Esse artigo tem como propósito observar os tipos de monitorização hemodinâmica comparando seus benefícios específicos, limitações e aplicações em pacientes críticos e chocados, tendo como foco métodos não invasivos em pacientes com choque circulatório. O trabalho se baseou em investigar literatura e estudos anteriores analisando os principais métodos não invasivos existentes destacando prós, contras e importância de cada um, tendo como propósito final uma contribuição para o monitoramento de pacientes acometidos por choque circulatório. Vale ressaltar também, que esse artigo abordou os métodos de monitorização não invasivos de forma a destacar as vantagens de cada método, uma vez que tais técnicas tem ganhado destaque na medicina em virtude dos avanços tecnológicos que permearam essa área. Tal temática tem papel de destaque no que tange cuidados aos pacientes, pois essas técnicas constituem componente essencial no atendimento eficaz do paciente criticamente doente já que o estado hemodinamicamente instável apresenta um prognóstico grave com alto risco de evolução para choque circulatório e óbito em um curto espaço de tempo, sendo indispensável sua monitorização.
Objetivo: Analisar na literatura científica sobre a relação de Púrpura Trombocitopênica Idiopática e infecção por Covid-19. Métodos: Por meio da plataforma de base de dados Pubmed, foi realizada uma Revisão Integrativa, com o intento de localizar fontes relevantes para tal. A pesquisa foi realizada sob o uso dos descritores “Covid", "idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura", "Immune thrombocytopenic purpura", "thrombocytopenic", em associação com os operadores booleanos “OR” e “AND”, para fazer a busca dos artigos, resultando em 171 artigos iniciais. Dentro desses números, devido aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, apenas 16 tornaram-se fontes oficiais. Resultados: Os estudos apontam que há uma estreita ligação entre a infecção viral e, por conseguinte, a produção de autoanticorpos e citocinas que convergem em um mecanismo de autoimunidade viral observado nos casos de Púrpura Trombocitopênica Idiopática. Considerações finais: A Covid-19 pode ser considerada um agente infeccioso indutor de Púrpura Trombocitopênica Idiopática, o que sugere a urgência no tratamento dessa associação para aplacar as suas possíveis complicações.
Objetivo: Ampliar a discussão acerca das repercussões e impactos psicológicos provocados pela pandemia de COVID-19 não somente no cenário brasileiro mas também mundial, em decorrência à emergência de saúde vivenciada na atualidade. Revisão bibliográfica: pôde-se observar que o medo da infecção, a frustração e tédio, falta de suprimentos e perdas financeiras, juntamente com outros desencadeadores, causaram manifestações psicológicas importantes como depressão, mau-humor, irritabilidade, perturbação emocional em geral. Por conseguinte, mostra-se a necessidade de intervenção psicológica frente a limitação causada pelo isolamento devido a COVID-19. Reforça-se, ainda, a importância da assistência profissional adequada, de modo a promover sentimentos de conforto, alívio da aflição, acesso à informação correta, auxílio em casos de crise entre outros, que variam conforme a especificidade de cada profissional. Considerações finais: o distanciamento e o isolamento social, por mais que representem práticas que visam preservar a saúde pública, afetam diretamente a saúde mental dos indivíduos, tornando-se necessárias intervenções nesse aspecto.
Objetivo: O presente artigo buscou realizar uma revisão acerca das complicações microvasculares e macrovasculares em pacientes com Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2 (DMT2), bem como esclarecer o comportamento do corpo humano frente a essas alterações e importância do diagnóstico e tratamento precoce para uma melhor qualidade de vida desses indivíduos. Revisão bibliográfica: A DMT2 é uma doença em crescimento alarmante que contribui principalmente para o desenvolvimento de complicações cardiovasculares. As complicações do DMT2 incluem Doença Renal Diabética, Retinopatia Diabética, Neuropatia Diabética e Disfunção Sexual, sendo estas microvasculares. Observa-se ainda a ocorrência de Insuficiência cardíaca, Derrame e Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio como as principais complicações macrovasculares. Essas alterações estão diretamente relacionadas à Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica, Dislipidemias e Obesidade, ocasionando uma alta letalidade, principalmente quando relacionada à insuficiência cardíaca nesses indivíduos. Considerações finais: Verificou-se neste trabalho que o comprometimento da qualidade de vida pelo DMT2 reduz a expectativa de vida dos indivíduos quando comparados aos não diabéticos.
Esse artigo buscou discutir a reativação da Doença de Chagas em pacientes que passaram por transplante cardíaco. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica em que são analisadas as manifestações clínicas decorrentes da reativação, assim como o diagnóstico, monitoramento e tratamentos abordados na literatura estudada. Assim, avalia-se essa particularidade apresentada pelo paciente com cardiomiopatia chagásica e sua influência no prognóstico após o procedimento cirúrgico. Devido à inexistência de tratamento capaz de reverter a evolução da doença, além de seu prognóstico ruim e elevados índices de morbidade e mortalidade, o transplante cardíaco apresenta-se como uma opção terapêutica para o estágio final dessa manifestação crônica da Doença de Chagas. Os pacientes chagásicos que passam por transplante cardíaco, além de enfrentar as complicações inerentes ao procedimento, encaram a possibilidade de reativação da doença após a imunossupressão necessária para evitar a rejeição do aloenxerto. A reativação pode acontecer devido ao desequilíbrio na relação hospedeiro-parasita pela imunossupressão e/ou persistência dos protozoários no coração explantado. Finalmente, salienta-se a necessidade de mais estudos visando a definição de uma abordagem mais efetiva. Destacamos também a importância do acompanhamento médico no pós-transplante a fim de identificar a reativação precocemente, o que aumenta as chances de um melhor prognóstico.
