La investigación en el área de la violencia de pareja en México ha centrado sus esfuerzos en conocer la magnitud, factores de riesgo, repercusiones y estrategias de prevención focalizadas con población mestiza en zonas urbanas. La presente revisión de la literatura tuvo como objetivo el conocer el estado del conocimiento de estas áreas de estudios realizados con poblaciones indígenas de México. Una búsqueda sistemática de la literatura arrojó un total de 11 estudios empíricos publicados. Las cifras de prevalencia de violencia tienen amplias variaciones por grupo étnico y metodologías empleadas, entre otros factores. La mayoría de estos estudios se han conducido en la región centro y sur de México. Se presentan algunas recomendaciones para futuras investigaciones y estrategias de prevención de la violencia en estos grupos minoritarios. <p>En este artículo se habla sobre la toma de decisiones y la relación con el municipio de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Se aborda la toma de decisiones con el objetivo de entender las dinámicas internas de liderazgo, y su relación con el municipio. Nuestro interés es explicar su reconocimiento y su incidencia en las políticas públicas. El trabajo de investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo. Se hicieron catorce entrevistas a líderes comunitarios que trabajan dentro de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil en Ciudad Juárez. Se hizo un análisis de contenido mediante el programa atlas.ti, versión 7.</p>
