Summary An analytic procedure is described for the detection of several important fission products ( loe Ru/ loe Rh, 99 Mo, 144 Ce, 95 Zr/ 95 Nb, 140 Ba/ 140 La, 90 Sr and 131 I). It can be used for samples containing higher amounts of inactive material. It is, e. g., suitable for the study of residues obtained by the evaporation of natural waters (rain water), which contain much iron and calcium. The procedures are simple and fast; the separations are by precipitation (by isotopie and non-isotopic carriers) and extraction.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
