Current industrial engineering methods and techniques due to the complexity of new knowledge-based methods need to be extended to technologies and tools for modelling and simulation of production processes, logistics flows, production facilities as well as product design. It is important to focus on the whole life cycle of the company as well as the product. The article deals with the effects of digitization on lean-manufacturing tools that are often used in industrial practice.
In this paper we focus on analyzing the production process using the selected module Siemens PLM namely Module Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. Apply it in the analysis of the production process the production company. We focus on the proposal of optimization measures proposed in that software package. At the beginning of the clarify and mentioned some theoretical notions, but the essence of the paper is devoted to the analyzed and designed simulation model. The result of analysis and design is a graphical solution of the original and proposed situation in the company.
Taking into consideration the quality of air, it is necessary to ensure a continued reduction of the gaseous emissions that are produced by the maritime transport. The most effective solution of this serious worldwide problem is application of a suitable fuel mixture, which contains a bio-component, i.e. the biofuel. The presented scientific study is focused on influence of the biofuels on production of the gaseous emissions in the case of a diesel auxiliary engine, which is used in the ship transport. There were created various fuel mixtures with different content of the bio-component in order to investigate their emission characteristics. The individual experimental measurements were performed at the different engine loading levels and using a variable engine speed spectrum. The obtained results demonstrated a significant influence of the fuel mixtures on the whole combustion process, on the heat release process, on the pressure time behaviour as well as on the engine emission characteristics.
