The number of frail older patients visiting the Emergency Department (ED) is growing [1]. Early identification of these patients is important because healthcare professionals can provide better care in the ED [2][3][4]. Various screening tools have been developed to assess whether an older ED patient is frail, but frailty screening tools are scarcely successfully implemented in clinical practice and screening rates do not exceed 50-60% [5,6].
