O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar a diversidade e similaridade florística de espécies arbóreas em duas áreas sob influência de uma usina hidrelétrica na Amazônia, localizada entre os Estados do Amapá e Pará. Nessas áreas foram realizados inventários contínuos em 2 módulos amostrais em que cada um é composto de 5 parcelas permanentes de 20 x 250 metros (5.000 m²), equidistantes 1 quilômetro. Foram analisados os índices de diversidade de Shannon, Margalef e equabilidade de Pielou e para análise da similaridade florística foram utilizadas técnicas multivariadas de agrupamento. Foram encontrados, respectivamente, 646 e 687 indivíduos distribuídos nos módulos amostrais “A” e “D”. Para o módulo “A”, o índice de diversidade de Shannon, Margalef e equabilidade de Pielou encontrado foram 3,82 nats/ind, 8,04 e 0,87, respectivamente. Para o módulo “D”, 3,47 nats/ind, 7,42 e 0,86, respectivamente. Os índices utilizados indicaram que as áreas apresentaram diversidade relativamente alta e concentração de espécies com alta uniformidade dentro da comunidade vegetal. A diversidade e composição florística entre as áreas afetadas foram semelhantes, mesmo estando em diferentes condições topográficas.
O presente trabalho foi realizado numa área de floresta plantada no município de Porto Grande-AP, com objetivo de realizar o ajuste de equações hipsométricas de um povoamento clonal de Eucalyptus sp. Foram utilizadas para esse trabalho dados provenientes de cubagem rigorosa obtidos pela aplicação da fórmula de Smalian, das quais foram coletadas diâmetro a 1,30m do solo (DAP), Altura Total (Ht). O processo de amostragem foi sistemático. Foram abatidas 1.130 árvores com o dap variando de 8 a 30 cm e altura de 11 a 34m. Para o ajuste, foram selecionado 7 modelos (5 aritméticos e 2 logarítmicos) realizada a comparação entre modelos para definir a escolha do melhor modelo a ser aplicado para as estimativas do altura de árvores do povoamento. Os referidos modelos testados foram Linha Reta, Azevedo (1999), Hericksen, Hiperbólica, Parabólico, Ln Stoffels, Ln Cutis. Os critérios estatísticos adotados para escolha da melhor equação a ser aplicado foram: Coeficiente de determinação ajustado (Raj²), erro padrão da estimativa (Sxy), DMP%= Desvio médio padrão percentual, FCM= fator de correção de Meyer para corrigir os modelos logarítmicos. Os modelos de Linha Reta e Parabólico, apresentaram valores estatisticamente superiores aos restantes do modelos testados.
