Este artigo apresenta aspectos das diferentes poéticas composicionais adotadas em peças estreadas durante a temporada 2019 do Grupo Prelúdio 21. O objetivo é demonstrar a pluralidade de procedimentos, técnicas e recursos utilizados nas composições de quatro dentre seus seis membros, além de descrever, em linhas gerais, aspectos da sua criação e da 21ª temporada de concertos realizada em 2019. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, os quatro compositores selecionaram uma das peças estreadas em 2019 para comentar e retratar características relevantes da poética composicional, a partir de uma metodologia descritiva específica para cada composição. Dentre os diferenciados procedimentos presentes nas peças comentadas, podemos citar o dodecafonismo, a melodia de timbres, a textura pontilhística, o modalismo, aspectos do teatro musical (music theatre), a utilização de intervalos característicos, a auto-intertextualidade, o uso de recursos eletrônicos e de remissão a culturas tradicionais de povos originários. Concluímos que, além da ampla produção composicional e da participação de intérpretes renomados durante seus 21 anos de existência, o trabalho em conjunto dos compositores membros atuando também como produtores musicais foi decisivo para a existência e manutenção das temporadas de concertos do grupo. Assim, esperamos que a experiência coletiva de 21 anos de trabalho composicional em conjunto, talvez inédita no panorama mundial da música contemporânea de concerto contemporânea, irá encorajar o surgimento de novos grupos.
