El presente artículo se propone reconstruir la estructura social del eslabón primario del complejo vitivinícola mendocino en la posconvertibilidad. Para ello se identificarán diferentes posiciones sociales y, a partir de allí, las características distintivas de los agentes socio- económicos de inserción exclusivamente agraria. Se entiende que el entramado de posiciones socio- económicas deriva del grado de desarrollo de relaciones de producción capitalistas en la vitivinicultura, como también de su reverso, la persistencia de formas históricamente precedentes que son funcionales a la reproducción de determinadas asimetrías, jerarquías y vínculos de sujeción en el complejo vitivinícola contemporáneo.De igual manera, el avance del modelo vitivinícola posfordista tras la reconversión vitivinícola, no ha supuesto el abandono de patrones de producción y consumo fordistas, sino su convivencia con las modalidades posfordistas. En el marco de estas combinaciones emergen, en un nivel concreto de análisis, situaciones de clase y relaciones de producción específicas en la viticultura local que pretenderemos exponer.
Más allá de su función en la reproducción de las relaciones de producción capitalistas, la materialidad y el entramado de regulaciones del Estado capitalista son un campo estratégico de lucha, atravesado por contradicciones. Variando su configuración según la condensación de relaciones de fuerzas, tanto, actuales como las sedimentadas históricamente. De allí, la relevancia de analizar las especificidades de los Estados capitalistas, incluso los subnacionales. En este caso particular para observar las formas en que contribuyó a moldear la dinámica de acumulación y la estructura socio- económica del complejo vitivinícola, en el período 2002- 2016 en la provincia de Mendoza.
Proponemos analizar la innovación, la tecnología y el marketing como factores de comando que diferencian los procesos de valorización y acumulación del capital de los agentes líderes respecto al resto de los agentes socioeconómicos del complejo, siendo los factores de comando habilidades, cualidades y características que sostienen los procesos de acumulación virtuosos y las tasas de ganancia diferenciales de los agentes líderes que integran el estrato dominante de la burguesía vitivinícola asentada en Mendoza. Dadas las transformaciones acaecidas en el complejo luego del denominado proceso de reconversión vitivinícola, desde mediados de los noventa, observamos una modificación en el orden de prelación de los factores de comando, sobre todo en el submercado de vinos varietales, que ha sido el de mayor dinamismo relativo en la industria en el periodo analizado (2002-2015). De allí nuestro interés por el papel que cumplen la tecnología, la innovación y el marketing en el modelo vitivinícola posfordista, temas que desarrollaremos a partir de la sistematización de información de carácter cualitativo.
La post-reconversión, periodo que coincide con el de la posconvertibilidad a nivel nacional, es la etapa de maduración de las transformaciones realizadas durante la llamada reconversión productiva en la vitivinicultura argentina. Se trata de una fase de transición entre un periodo en el que imperaba el paradigma productivista de la cantidad hacia otra concepción, donde el dinamismo es detentado por el modelo de la calidad, en el que predominan los vinos varietales y crece el mercado externo. El presente artículo aborda las transformaciones socioeconómicas producidas con ese proceso en los diferentes territorios que integran el complejo vitivinícola de Mendoza, cuyas cualidades agroecológicas, la acción de los capitales extrarregionales y las respuestas de los agentes preexistentes condicionaron sus posibilidades de inserción. Acá nos concentraremos en los procesos y características de la Primera Zona y el Valle de Uco, que determinaron que estos territorios se erigieran como ganadores tras la reconversión vitivinícola.
