Objetivo: Relatar a experiência da preparação do centro cirúrgico de um hospital universitário brasileiro para o atendimento de cirurgias em pacientessuspeitos e confirmados de COVID-19. Método: Relato da experiência do centro cirúrgico de um hospital universitário do Nordeste do Brasil, em março e abrilde 2020, para o atendimento durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Resultados: A implementação do protocolo de atendimento a pacientes suspeitos e confirmadosde COVID-19 foi realizada por meio da sua elaboração por um time de profissionais norteados por diretrizes nacionais e internacionais, treinamentos e atualizações.Os ciclos de aprimoramento permitiram que o protocolo fosse aperfeiçoado ao longo dos dois meses relatados. Barreiras e facilitadores para o processosão discutidos e estratégias são elaboradas para adequações possíveis. Conclusão: Houve adequação de protocolos assistenciais relacionados à rotina de fluxo depacientes e da assistência em sala operatória no intuito de melhor atender os pacientes e reduzir os riscos de contaminação de outros pacientes e profissionais.
RESUMO Objetivo O estudo teórico apresentado tem por objetivo discorrer sobre o papel do enfermeiro na prevenção mecânica do tromboembolismo venoso em pacientes cirúrgicos. Método O estudo considerou as versões atualizadas dos principais guidelines internacionais e revisões acerca do tema. Além de serem discutidas as medidas não farmacológicas de prevenção de tromboembolismo venoso em pacientes cirúrgicos e o papel do enfermeiro. Resultados É importante que o enfermeiro cirúrgico inclua, em suas atividades, as avaliações de risco do tromboembolismo venoso e as medidas profiláticas não farmacológicas, baseadas em evidências científicas e protocolos institucionais bem delineados. Conclusão Dentre as medidas mecânicas, o uso de meias elásticas de compressão graduada e a compressão pneumática intermitente devem ser asseguradas pelos enfermeiros.
OBJETIVO: Analisar os custos de um serviço especializado em Medicinas Tradicionais Complementares e Integrativas (MTCI) no Nordeste brasileiro, com o intuito de fornecer dados sobre o custo atrelado à implantação e manutenção de serviços dessa natureza e identificar o custo médio por usuário para o Sistema Único de Saúde. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de uma avaliação econômica do tipo parcial, com caráter descritivo, de natureza quantitativa, que utilizou dados secundários, posteriormente agrupados em planilhas do Microsoft Excel. O método utilizado para analisar tais custos foi o de custeio por absorção, a partir do qual o serviço foi dividido em três centros de custeio: produtivo, administrativo e auxiliar. RESULTADOS: Após a análise dos dados, o custo total do serviço em 2014 foi estimado em R$ 1.270.015,70, com proporção de 79,69% de custos diretos. O custo médio por usuário neste período foi R$ 36,79, considerando o total de 34.521 usuários em práticas individuais e coletivas. CONCLUSÕES: O serviço apresenta um custo por usuário compatível com um serviço especializado, contudo, as MTCI oferecem abordagem compreensiva e holística, as quais podem impactar de forma positiva a qualidade de vida.
Objetivo: Investigar a perspectiva do circulante de sala operatória sobre a contagem cirúrgica para a segurança dos pacientes. Método: Estudoexploratório, qualitativo, realizado em um centro cirúrgico de um hospital de grande porte do Nordeste do Brasil, entre janeiro e março de 2018. Foi realizadaAnálise de Conteúdo das entrevistas realizadas com 11 circulantes de sala operatória por saturação teórica. Resultados: As falas foram organizadasem duas categorias temáticas — “Contagem cirúrgica para a segurança do paciente” e “Falhas no protocolo de contagem cirúrgica” — , revelando quea mudança da prática deve ser investida, visto que a maioria entende ou reconhece a importância da contagem cirúrgica para os pacientes. Conclusão:Há o reconhecimento empírico da relevância da contagem cirúrgica, devendo ser reforçada por meio de ações que garantam a compreensão da dimensãoe a repercussão dessa prática na segurança dos pacientes.
