En este trabajo, se presenta la construcción de una máquina CNC láser para aplicaciones de grabado, a partir de la modificación de una máquina router. El diseño de su estructura y componentes, así como el modelo y ensamble en 3D, se realizó por medio de SolidWorks; las piezas diseñadas fueron fabricadas a través de impresión 3D, empleando material PLA. Por otra parte, los movimientos y trayectorias de la máquina se analizaron mediante simulación con el uso del software Adams View. El grabado láser se efectúa a partir de la importación de imágenes al software CNCC V2.53 Laseraxe, el cual realiza la vectorización y generación del código G, además del control de velocidad de grabado y la potencia del láser. Para el control de las secuencias de los motores a pasos, se utilizó una tarjeta controladora Laseraxe CNCC.Mini. Finalmente, se verificó la validación de la maquina CNC propuesta, realizando pruebas de grabado en Madera tipo MDF y polímero TPU (Poliuretano termoplástico), utilizando un diodo láser con una potencia de 5.5 W.
