El presente estudio se desarrolló en un invernadero de clima controlado para evaluar la respuesta de los híbridos: Calix (rojo), PB 99205 (amarillo) y Magno (naranja), y tres soluciones nutrimentales que variaron en dos etapas fenológicas desde 12 hasta 21 meq L-1 de aniones y cationes de macronutrientes. La siembra se hizo en charolas de poliestireno con 200 cavidades utilizando turba como sustrato. Las plántulas se transplantaron cuando tuvieron una altura de 15 cm y de cinco a seis hojas en canaletas de cemento llenas con arena. La distancia entre hileras y entre plantas fue de 1.20 m y 0.30 m, respectivamente. Se instaló un sistema de riego por goteo, con dos hileras de cintilla, para la aplicación de agua y nutrientes. Los resultados indican que el pimiento amarillo produjo el rendimiento de fruto más alto y los frutos de mayor peso. Este mostró un 24 y 36% más de rendimiento que el producido por los pimientos naranja y rojo, respectivamente, y frutos más pesados en un 12 y 32% que los producidos en ambos pimientos. El cambio de la solución nutrimental de la baja a la media concentración incrementó el rendimiento en un 33%, pero lo disminuyó en un 5% al aplicar la solución más concentrada.
