Resumo Um século de revolução socialista e um século de historiografia, de controvérsias, discussões apaixonadas, mas também um grande volume de pesquisa. O objetivo deste artigo é o de discutir algumas das principais controvérsias historiográficas, lançando mão do conceito de revisionismo histórico para iluminar os principais ciclos de produção intelectual sobre Outubro de 1917.

It aims at clarifying the actual relationship of the POUM with this political current -by attempting to deconstruct the frequent and erroneous association of the two -and at detailing the practical activity and the political analyses of Leon Trotsky and his allies in Spain at the time. This effort of a historical rescue is based upon mainly in secondary sourcesworks of historical analysis that are little known of the general public-and, in a smaller portion, also on some primary sources -especially Trotsky's writings on the subject.

A partir del análisis de documentos y artículos publicados a lo largo de este período por sus diferentes sectores, se puede mapear una serie de (re) lecturas (explícitas o no) del marco teórico-analítico original de ese movimiento, realizadas con vistas a comprender mejor las diferentes revoluciones que entonces ocurrían y para delinear programas de intervención para ellas. Tales (re) lecturas generaron intensos conflictos, siendo un elemento importante de su creciente fragmentación. Así, aunque la historia de ese movimiento en la posguerra no se limite a tales (re) lecturas, ellas son fundamentales para comprender de forma más profunda a su actual configuración.Palabras clave: Historia del marxismo; Cuarta Internacional; Trotskismo; Pablismo; Las revoluciones de posguerra.Abstract: The theme of this work is the history of the international Trotskyist movement in the first decades following the end of World War II . Through the analysis of documents and articles published throughout this period by its different sectors it was possible to detect a number of (re) interpretations (explicit or not) of the original theoretical and analytical framework of this movement, carried out with the aim of a better understanding of the different revolutions then occurred and to draw intervention programs for them. Este artigo é uma análise sobre a interpretação de Leon Trotsky do Stalinismo e a União Soviética (URSS). Seguiu-se aqui o mesmo procedimento feito por Perry Anderson (1983), de dividir em etapas o pensamento de Trotsky e de estabelecer as devidas correspondências entre as formulações deste revolucionário e os acontecimentos nacionais e internacionais que o cercavam. Assim, foi possível apresentar de uma forma mais apropriada a interpretação de Trotsky sobre os mencionados fenômenos e também as transformações pelas quais ela passou entre os anos de 1923 e 1940. Os estudos realizados para a escrita deste trabalho permitiram concluir que a chamada “fase madura” da interpretação de Trotsky sobre o Stalinismo e a URSS, formulada ao final da década de 1930, é a mais completa para o entendimento destes fenômenos e a que também proporciona as bases fundamentais para compreender as suas variantes no período após a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
