Abstract:The study looked into professional -formal, non-formal, and informal -learning situations of long-trail instructors at two Brazilian national parks (PARNAs). As a descriptiveexploratory study with a qualitative data approach, it included 79 instructors from two PARNAs, of whom 49 had no college education while 30 were college graduates. Content analysis procedures were used to evaluate the semi-structured interviews. Most subjects value formal, non-formal, and informal learning situations, but informal learning from relatives, visitors, other drivers, and from reflection on the own work were more appreciated. Key learning in those situations involves aspects such as climate issues, visitor safety, biome-specific characteristics, and environmental preservation. Evidence from the study indicates the need for schools to include more practice opportunities for instructors that are more contextualized in terms of professional practice requirements, as well as periods of practicum supervised by more experienced peers. Educational needs of visitors’ instructors in National Parks ABSTRACT This descriptive, exploratory, and quantitative-qualitative study had the objective of identifying the educational needs of 79 instructors of visitors from the Caparaó (PNC) and Serra da Capivara (PNSC) National Parks (PARNA). Information was collected from semi-structured interviews, whose generating theme contemplated the educational needs pointed out by the instructors themselves. Results show that the investigated instructors have a preference for predominantly practical training courses that more closely reflect the specific reality of each PARNA investigated. In this sense, professionals point out the need for the courses to be practical and delivered within the PARNAs, taking into account both the instrumental knowledge required for the professional activity and the specific ecological characteristics of the park, region, biome and ecosystem in which the activities take place. The most claimed courses by the investigated instructors were first aid, second language, and ecological features of the park, region, biome, and ecosystem. KEYWORDS: Ecotourism; National Parks; Visitor Instructors; Formative Needs.
This investigation discusses the relationship between the body culture of movement and two rock art scenes located in the Parque Nacional Serra da Capivara, (Serra da Capivara National Park) - PNSC, in the state of Piauí, Brazil. The scenes depict a flic flac and a human pyramid, which have been accepted in contemporaneity as gymnastics and acrobatics. An interdisciplinary theoretical apparatus based on Physical Education and its relationships with Archeology and Anthropology was used in the analysis. The analysis is based on inferences, as nothing guarantees that the hands that portrayed the scenes had the same intentions as the authors of the research. One of the findings understands that motor skills helped the daily demands of adversity for the survival of the group. In another point of view, based on the Ilinx concept, flic flac satisfies the search for a trance/vertigo vital to ritualistic liturgy, and the human pyramid serves the imperative task of consolidating cooperative bonds and trust between its members in a hostile environment.
