GENDER IN SCHOOL: a reality to be problematizedABSTRACT: problematize gender in the school configures itself as a discussion that strips the deconstruction of labels and stigmas related to sexuality. Therefore, we focus on the relationships lived in the school environment and the role of the school in the (re) production of these labels. We investigated, from the systematic observation in a school of fundamental education of the city of Mossoró-RN, situations of the school routine, as well as reports of some students of the mentioned school, in order to apprehend the expressions of gender inequality naturalized since childhood. We conclude by saying that gender does not refer only to sexuality, but also the recognition that both sexes are equal in guaranteeing rights, in recognizing and respecting the gender identity of the other.
