Identificar espécies de mosquitos anofelinos como vetores da malária e verificar o papel das mesmas no contexto da transmissão da malária humana no município de Cruzeiro do Sul, estado do Acre, Amazônia brasileira. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: No período de 2012 a 2019, foram realizadas coletas de mosquitos anofelinos adultos, por atração humana protegida, durante 4 h (das 18 h às 22 h) e 12 h (das 18 h às 6 h). Os espécimes coletados foram acondicionados em copos entomológicos, identificados com horário, data e local de coleta e os nomes dos coletores. Ao término da coleta, foram colocados em caixas térmicas para serem transportados ao laboratório, onde foram identificados morfologicamente utilizando chaves de identificação. Por fim, os espécimes foram preparados para posterior detecção de infecção por plasmódio humano. RESULTADOS: Durante o período do estudo, com o esforço amostral de 468 h, foram coletados 4.150 espécimes de mosquitos anofelinos, sendo 99,64% identificados como Anopheles darlingi.
