El artículo plantea investigar recursos motivacionales mediante narrativas digitales como estrategias que puedan emplear los docentes en sus clases e innovar así la educación tradicional, de manera que sea atrayente para el estudiante adulto con rezago educativo y desplieguen destrezas cognitivas; el estudio tiene por objetivo el proponer el uso de las narrativas digitales como recurso motivacional para estudiantes adultos con rezago educativo. La metodología implementada fue un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptiva, la población designada consta de 91 estudiantes de la modalidad a distancia virtual de 1ro de Bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Juan Montalvo de Quito, en el cual, se aplicó en primera instancia una encuesta a los estudiantes mediante un cuestionario de opción múltiple de conocimientos tecnológicos y motivación y, posterior una encuesta de satisfacción luego de la aplicación de la narrativa digital. Los resultados de esta última etapa evidencian un interés y estímulo por el aprendizaje mediante contenidos narrativos, dentro de un campo de acción de entornos virtuales e interdisciplinario articulado a la parte práctica. Se concluye que, estas nuevas alternativas de enseñar a través de recursos como narrativas digitales, abren nuevos contextos para investigar múltiples alternativas de cómo motivar a los estudiantes y a las futuras generaciones al conocimiento, sin importar obstáculos de tiempo espacio y recursos.
