Este artigo de revisão discute pesquisas recentes sobre inserção profissional de egressos da educação superior no Brasil. Foi feito levantamento de produções em bases indexadas e repositórios acadêmicos do país nas últimas décadas. A partir de critérios de elegibilidade foram selecionados 30 trabalhos que compuseram o corpus documental do estudo. Parte dos documentos localizados diz respeito a egressos de cursos de formação de professores. Assim, o estudo foi desagregado entre produções sobre egressos em geral e sobre egressos de licenciaturas, sendo que destas, destacaram-se pesquisas sobre graduados em cursos de Pedagogia. As produções foram classificadas em três categorias: i) as que relacionam a inserção de egressos às modificações do mercado de trabalho; ii) as que associam as trajetórias profissionais em interface com desigualdades estruturais da sociedade; e iii) as que abordam a inserção laboral de egressos a partir das especificidades da área de formação. Identificou-se que as produções sobre egressos da educação superior são bem distribuídas nos três grupos. Já para egressos das licenciaturas e Pedagogia, os trabalhos se concentram na terceira categoria, com exceção de cursos da parte diversificada da Base Nacional Comum Curricular. Foi possível concluir que, em geral, o mercado de trabalho para licenciados absorve os egressos dentro da área de formação com relativa facilidade, ainda que permaneçam desigualdades de remuneração quanto ao sexo e à raça/cor.
