Objetivo: Relatar um caso de displasia grave de colo uterino em paciente idosa e alertar para a importância da realização dos exames de rastreamento além do preconizado pelo Ministério da Saúde, para prevenir câncer e realizar tratamento precoce de displasias. Detalhamento do caso: Aborda-se o caso de uma paciente de 80 anos, atendida no Ambulatório de Ginecologia do município de Franca, no estado de São Paulo, assintomática, aparentemente sem fatores de risco, que apresentou ao rastreamento de câncer de colo uterino uma neoplasia intraepitelial de alto grau. Foi, então, encaminhada para colposcopia, que confirmou o diagnóstico por meio do exame anatomopatológico. Considerações finais: Conclui-se que é muito importante o rastreamento do câncer de colo uterino além da idade preconizada pelo Ministério da Saúde, que atualmente é de 64 anos, tendo em vista o modo de evolução da doença, o aumento da expectativa de vida e as mudanças sociais atuais, com maior tempo de exposição aos fatores de risco.
Objetivo: Elencar as principais características fisiopatológicas, clínicas, diagnósticas e manejo terapêutico da Síndrome da Encefalopatia Posterior Reversível (PRES) em gestantes e puérperas. Métodos: Esta revisão da literatura usou a base de dados de pesquisa CAPES, com os descritores: “PRES”, “Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome”, “Posterior Leukoencephalopathy Syndrome” e “Pregnancy”, entre os anos de 2003 a 2019, resultando em 50 artigos que preencheram os critérios de inclusão. Resultados: Verificou-se que, os mecanismos fisiopatológicos que buscam explicar a ocorrência geral dessa síndrome, ainda não são claros. Os principais sinais clínicos identificados foram convulsões associadas a cefaleia e alterações visuais. O exame padrão-ouro é a ressonância magnética, preferencialmente em T1, T2, ADC e DWI, estando a restrição de difusão relacionada a um pior prognóstico. Feito o diagnóstico, é necessário o manejo terapêutico com estabilização da paciente, controles pressórico, controle de convulsões e afastar a causa base que desencadeou o processo da PRES. Considerações finais: A PRES é uma síndrome de início agudo, sendo importante o reconhecimento das suas características clínicas e diagnósticas. Por isso quando pensar em PRES? Sugerimos um recurso mnemônico para lembrar como diagnóstico diferencial. P: Pré-eclâmpsia e eclâmpsia; R: Restrição de difusão na Ressonância Magnética; E: Edema cerebral; S: Sintomas visuais.
Objetivo: Transmitir informações a respeito das diversas formas de infecção pelo vírus HPV, correlacionando suas manifestações clínicas a partir do relato de caso de paciente com infecção plantar. Detalhamento do caso: Paciente MAF, 40 anos, acompanhada em ambulatório de Ginecologia por quadro de verrugas genitais e anais, queixa-se de calosidades nos pés de longa data, com dor à pressão plantar, de evolução há 5 anos. Ao exame físico, genitália apresentava lesão única verrucosa em região perianal e lesão verrucoide vulvar sugestivas de HPV. Nos pés, foi evidenciada a presença de múltiplas lesões hiperceratóticas, disseminadas, prevalecendo em pé esquerdo, com nodulação subcutânea à palpação. Diante da suspeita de lesões induzidas por HPV foi prescrito Thuya 6CH diariamente. No retorno, paciente havia apresentado melhora do quadro, permanecendo em acompanhamento. Considerações Finais: Observa-se vasta gama de manifestações clínicas pelo vírus HPV, pouco exploradas devido à dificuldade em encontrar na literatura imagens semelhantes às obtidas no caso para comparação. O quadro clínico inespecífico dificulta o tratamento, prolongando o ciclo de disseminação do vírus, prejudicando as pacientes.
