Este artículo presenta una reflexión en torno al cambio climático y la importancia de impulsar una mirada interdisciplinar para la implementación de políticas y acciones que promuevan el bienestar y calidad de vida de individuos, comunidades y naciones. El texto comienza ofreciendo una panorámica general sobre la realidad climática y la gestión internacional, para ir avanzando hacia la realidad nacional en donde se esclarecen los efectos de la crisis sobre los grupos más vulnerables. Finalmente, se menciona la importancia de la psicología ambiental como interdisciplina cuyo desafío es promover la salud de las poblaciones y comunidades, considerando que la salud ambiental y los servicios ecosistémicos son esenciales para el bienestar y para la calidad de vida.
