The planting of Jatropha curcas and the Jatropha consortium with grass Andropogon contributes towards improving the carbon and nitrogen and soil microbial biomass and organic matter lightly. In the 0,10-0,20 m depth in the consortium of jatropha with Andropogon grass, biomass by the contribution of the root system of the grass Andropogon promoted slight increase in organic matter and microbial biomass carbon. Thus revegetation with single and intercropping jatropha with grass Andropogon gayanos L. is an alternative in improving soil properties in desertified areas.
