Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore marketing analysis by developing a customer loyalty approach for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the service sector, based on customer relationship management (CRM) in the context of an emerging economy. Design/methodology/approach This study analyzes different models of CRM in the literature and defines a loyalty approach for SMEs in the service sector. It is characterized as exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. A systematic review of the literature is undertaken as the starting point for achieving the main objective of the study. Findings The need to develop a framework for an approach to customer loyalty for SMEs based on CRM and to make it operational. Research limitations/implications It is a qualitative and exploratory study, applied only to a company’s two main clients. Practical implications The contribution of this study is that it offers SMEs consistent guidelines on how best to conduct relationship management with their customers by using a systemic methodology that can be adapted to the requirements of more effective interaction between a company and its customers. It also provides coherence to the purpose of meeting customers’ needs. This is an action strategy that focuses especially on the use of tools, such as SERVQUAL, Kano and SWOT analysis, and thereby increases the competitive profile of organizations in this sector. Originality/value This study is a new approach to customer loyalty for SMEs in the service sector, which integrates elements of CRM strategy and implementation.

As crescentes exigências incorporadas nos processos produtivos, oriundos das demandas de mercado, que tem o seu foco ligado no resultado e na lucratividade, vem promovendo nas empresas uma releitura das suas práticas organizacionais, que vão além da produtividade como foco principal e exclusivo. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é promover a adaptação dos postos de trabalhos de forma a obter uma redução das queixas de dor relacionadas a LER/DORT (Lesões por Esforços Repetitivos/ Distúrbios Osteoarticulares Relacionadas ao Trabalho), mantendo o nível de produtividade adequado para cada tipo de atividade. Nesse contexto, a Coteminas S.A. vem adotando ao longo do seu processo produtivo, ações e medidas ergonomicamente adequadas, visando eliminar em determinados processos as patologias denominadas genericamente como Lesões por Esforços Repetitivos/Distúrbios Osteomusculares Relacionados ao Trabalho (LER/DORTS). Este tipo de patologia apresentam sinais e sintomas de inflamações dos músculos, tendões, nervos dos membros superiores, cintura e pescoço, entre outros e têm chamado a atenção não só pelo aumento de sua incidência no Brasil mas por também existirem evidências de sua associação com o ritmo de trabalho. Embora essa discussão ainda possa ser considerada controvertida, devido a subjetividade existente no que se refere a avaliação da dor, no entanto resultados positivos foram observados com aplicação da rotatividade de funções.
Este estudo de caso tem o objetivo de analisar as falhas da atividade de gerenciamento de projetos em pequenas e médias empresas de alta tecnologia, utilizando a ferramenta PRISM. Essa metodologia, proposta por Gary Pan, Ray Hackney e Shan L. Pan, analisa as interações post mortem entre os componentes do projeto durante o curso de sua execução como uma relação de intercâmbio entre a organização do projeto, o sistema de informação e os seus usuários. Assim, a contribuição desse trabalho é permitir uma análise formal das relações entre a sucessão de eventos de desenvolvimento de projetos de cunho inovativo e fornecer insights sobre o sucesso potencial ou o fracasso em projetos de pequenas e médias empresas de alta tecnologia (PMET).DOI:10.5585/gep.v2i1.32
