En este artículo estudiamos el motivo por el cual Rajab, una mujer cananea, prostituta, se convierte en un personaje importante en la historia de la salvación. En el Antiguo Testamento, aparece en el libro de Josué. En el Nuevo Testamento, aparece en el Evangelio de Mateo, la Carta a los Hebreos y la Carta de Santiago. Se centra en el texto bíblico de Jos 2,1-22 y 6,17-25, analizando su actitud frente a los espías hebreos en el libro de Josué, en el episodio de la invasión de la ciudad de Jericó y en la ocupación del territorio de Canaán. La fe de Rajab revelará que Dios perdona y acoge a los que creen en él y también salva a los condenados cuando se convierten. Se analiza Heb 11,31 en su contexto, que exalta la fe de los antepasados. Rajab es mencionada entre las figuras prominentes de Israel por su fe en YHWH y su actitud hacia los espías hebreos. A continuación, estudiamos la perícopa de Santiago 2,24-25, que afirma que Rajab fue una mujer de fe y acción: actuó a favor de los espías porque creyó en YHWH. A lo largo de nuestro estudio, buscamos ver las razones que llevaron a Rajab a ser considerada una mujer de fe y buenas obras. Es un personaje memorable y alabado en la historia de la salvación, mencionado inclusa en la genealogía de Cristo (Mt 1,5).
Este estudo centraliza-se no encontro de Jesus com Nicodemos, episódio narrado somente no quarto Evangelho (Jo 3,1-10). O trabalho se desenvolve a partir do contexto da festa da Páscoa em que Jesus reage ao comportamento de todos os envolvidos na estrutura do Templo (religiosos, cambistas, vendilhões), pois ao invés de servirem a Deus estavam mais interessados em explorar os fiéis com exigências fundamentadas na Lei. Entendemos que esta passagem exige a compreensão do batismo na cultura judaica, o batismo de João Batista e o de Jesus, bem como a compreensão do “novo nascimento” na cultura helênica e no cristianismo. Dentre os temas abordados no comentário da perícope estão presentes: a profissão de fé de Nicodemos, sua incompreensão e a revelação de Jesus de que é preciso nascer do alto. Propomos mostrar, no presente trabalho, que para seguir Jesus é necessário abandonar velhas estruturas e mudar de mentalidade.
Este artículo analiza la perícopa Jo 7,53 – 8,11 y muestra la relevancia de esta historia, cuyo origen joánico es discutido. A pesar de ser considerado por muchos autores como una adición tardía al Evangelio de Juan, el relato fue considerado un texto inspirado y forma parte del corpus del IV Evangelio y del Canon del Nuevo Testamento. La perícopa trata de una mujer sorprendida en el acto de adulterio, que es llevada por los escribas y fariseos a la presencia de Jesús para que les diga cuál sería el destino de “tales” mujeres. Esta forma de dirigirse a la mujer ya demuestra la forma peyorativa y el lenguaje del desprecio hacia ella. Además del escenario patriarcal, que omite la figura masculina que también había cometido adulterio, es claro que detrás de la preocupación jurídica del delito en cuestión, está la intención disfrazada de poner a prueba a Jesús frente a la ley de Moisés y el poder de César. Con la autoridad de un maestro, Jesús no responde directamente a la pregunta, sino que la devuelve dando una lección de vida a todos los presentes, enseñando que el camino es el perdón y no pedradas. El ambiente de enseñanza se transforma en un escenario jurídico en el que los jueces, basados en la Ley mosaica, son llevados a enfrentarse a la Ley de amor y misericordia traída por Jesús. La Ley mosaica es superada luego del evento de Cristo; los escribas y fariseos no están dispuestos a seguir las enseñanzas de Jesús y abandonan el escenario sin conversión. En este estudio, la dimensión del perdón y el no juzgar se refleja dentro de la práctica y comprensión religiosa de que Jesús vino a perdonar y no a juzgar. El estudio se divide en segmentación, traducción, crítica textual, delimitación, estructura y forma retórica, análisis de formas, género literario, comentarios y conclusión.
