Der vorliegende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit unterschiedlichen Auffassungen kultureller Vielfalt und ihren Implikationen für die Praxis in Organisationen. Mit der Unterscheidung von Kultur und Kollektiv wird zunächst eine theoretische Differenzierung nachvollzogen, die es erlaubt, zwischen kulturellen Standardisierungen und kollektiven Zugehörigkeiten zu unterscheiden. Daraufhin wird mit dem Konzept der Multikollektivität ein Verständnis von kultureller Vielfalt entwickelt, das ohne vorgefertigte Kategorisierungen auskommt und den Vorteil bietet, Gemeinsamkeiten aufzuzeigen und soziale Kohäsion zu befördern. Inwiefern Organisationen aus einer pädagogischen Perspektive heraus schließlich selbst eine kulturelle Praxis darstellen und daher als Orte begriffen werden können, an denen Kultur interaktiv hervorgebracht wird, wird diskutiert.
