It is in great request to substitute foamed concrete for organic thermal insulating materials that are inflammable and liberate virulent gases on burning. In current study, felsite powder (powdery magnetite mill tailings) was used as filler and Solvay distiller waste (DW) was used as hardening accelerator for foamed concrete. The results showed that the strength and strength-to-density ratio of foamed concrete in cement-felsite powder system is much higher than those in cement-sand system and cement-lime-sand system. The Solvay distiller waste, suspending agent and polypropylene fiber can improve performances of foamed concrete such as cohesion and strength. DW can reduce shrinkage in forming process of foamed concrete.
A light weight and heat-resistant composite material was successfully fabricated by impregnation-filtration process in which Al2O3-SiO2 fiber mat was used as the skeleton and silica was applied as reinforcing filler. The effects of both concentration of silica sol and sintering temperature on SiO2/Al2O3-SiO2 fiber composites were studied. The results indicated that the density of composites increased with the concentration of silica sol increasing. The heat-treatment temperature had little effect on the density of composites. As heat-treatment temperature increased, the compressive strength increased firstly and then decreased.
Humidity measurement is an important link of corrosion monitoring in aircrafts and tanks. But the traditional monitor systems are not portable, can’t be real-time monitoring and other shortcomings. In order to solve these problems, a method that using a new sensor -- comb-shaped capacitive sensor in the humidity monitoring has been proposed. This method is based on electrical theory, combined with the processing of circuit, including the generation of the input signal, signal processing, and acquisition of output signal, and finally analyze the data collected to achieve the purpose of the monitoring of humidity.The problem of how to reduce the noise impact, how to simplify the theoretical calculation and other problems are considered and resolved in the design of the system.Compared with the traditional methods, the system based on this method is simple and compact because of its simple on the hardware design and the characteristics of the sensor. The experimental results show that this method has an very important significance in the atmospheric humidity monitoring.
SOFC single cell use the preparation process of precision casting-screen printing-co-sintering and developed a new electrode such as precious metal ceramic electrode. Although SOFC single battery comprehensive performance indicators in our country are currently synchronized with the international advanced technology level, the new precious metal ceramic electrode has not been tested for long-term operation of the full battery. In order to analyze the practicality of the new noble metal ceramic electrode, especially whether the noble metal electrode is one of the factors that cause performance degradation, this paper studies whether the noble metal Pd electrode would diffuse into the YSZ electrolyte during the energization process. The composition and morphology of the electrolytes of 350h half-cell was analyzed by the battery polarization test, SEM, EDX and Electron etching depth analysis of XPS. The result shows that the noble metal Pd element has diffused more than 100 nm into the YSZ electrolyte after 350h constant current.
