Every educational institution around the globe maintain student result repository which contain information about student marks, grade in different subjects and examinations. This repository contains important hidden pattern/knowledge which can be uncovered through data mining. A decision tree classifier based on divide and conquer rules is widely used for data exploration in such repository. In this paper J48 decision tree algorithm is applied on student previous result data to build a model in the form of decision tree. This model can then predict the student final grade. This will be helpful for teacher, student and their parents to know in advance about student final predicted grade and will enable them to take preventive measure.
In ancient times goods and services were exchanged through barter system 1 . Gold, valuable metals and other tangibles like stones and shells were also exploited as medium of exchange. Now Paper Currency (PC) is country-wide accepted common medium of trade. It has three major flaws. First, the holder of currency is always at risk due to theft and robbery culture in most of the societies of world. Second, counterfeit 2 currency is a challenge for currency issuing authorities. Third, printing and transferring PC causes a heavy cost. Different organizations have introduced and implemented digital currency systems but none of them is governed by any government.
In this paper we introduce Official Digital Currency System (ODCS). Our proposed digital currency is issued and controlled by the state/central bank of a country that is why we name it Official DigitalCurrency (ODC). The process of issuing ODC is almost same as that of Conventional Paper Currency (CPC) but controlling system is different. The proposal also explains country-wide process of day to day transactions in trade through ODCS. ODC is more secure, reliable, economical and easy to use. Here we introduce just the idea and compulsory modules of ODC system and not the implementable framework. We will present the implementable framework in a separate forthcoming publication.
Abstract-the main concern in systems development is the integration of technologies to increase customer satisfaction. Research presented in this paper focuses mainly in three things first to understand the speech or voice of user second is to control the home appliances through voice call and third is to finds intrusion in the house. The user can make a voice call in order to perform certain actions such as switching lights on/off, getting the status of any appliance etc. And when system finds intrusion it sends an alert voice message to preconfigured cell when the user is away from the place. The proposed system is implemented using voice Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and wireless technology based on .NET framework and Attention (AT) commands. Microsoft speech reorganization engine, speech SDK 5.1 is used to understand the voice command of user. As it is wireless so more cost effective and easy to use. The GSM technology used in system provide the everywhere access of the system for security. Experimental results show that the system is more secure and cost effective as compared to existing systems. We conclude that this system provides solution for the problems faced by home owner in daily life and make their life easy and comfortable by proposing cost effective and reliable solution.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
