The paper aims to analyse how the management science literature explains sustainable coordination and management of Information Technology (IT) outsourcing chains. The IT outsourcing theories,—that is, transaction cost theory, theory of agency, resource based view, activity based theory, contractual theory, partnership and alliance theory and stakeholder theory—are applied as a background to the analysis. A systematic literature review reveals that IT outsourcing is developed in collaborative networks and chains. There are some mechanisms identified in the literature for outsourcing chains’ management, interchain sustainability, coordination and interchain activities’ cohesion. The complexity of outsourcing relationships presented among outsourcers and outsourcees stimulate looking for new business models. Furthermore, outsourcing chains research would benefit from considering strategy-based theoretical discussions, relationship modelling and project management. The literature survey aims to present outsourcing chains in different aspects, that is, dynamics and agility, communication in chains, compensation and compliance, contracting, stakeholders, decision making models, governance problems, integration, performance measurement, project management and strategy development. This paper intends to emphasize that interchain coordination can be improved by enterprise architecture modelling as well as by the application of blockchain economy.
The paper is dedicated to factors influencing users’ adoption of sustainable cloud computing solutions. The article covers the important characteristics related to cloud computing. It also discusses how sustainable cloud computing is important for sustainability. The current state of their security and potential threats waiting for users is reviewed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of perceived usefulness, security, availability, and satisfaction on users’ adoption of sustainable cloud computing solutions. The study tested and used the adapted Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model in the context of cloud computing solutions. The partial least square method of structural equation modeling is employed to test the proposed research model. The study utilizes an online survey to obtain data from 252 cloud computing solutions users. The data set was analyzed using SmartPLS 3 software. Results showed that the best predictor of users’ perceived usefulness and system & service quality is perceived availability, followed by perceived security. Both perceived usefulness and system & service quality predict users’ attitude and intention to use of cloud computing solutions. The findings improve understanding regarding the adoption of cloud computing solutions, and this work is, therefore, of particular interest to the IT departments and cloud computing vendors.
e-Government can be defined as Internet applications for public administration processes and decision making on local, regional, national as well as cross-national level. Therefore, the strong necessity to ensure vertical and horizontal interoperation of administrative units is arrived. The main goal of the paper is to reveal how interoperability is built into the public administration engineering process. The paper covers explanations how interoperability is important for e-governmental processes covering documents flows and what activities have been realized with EU agencies to ensure interoperability development. The first part of the paper comprises explanation of e-Government document engineering and administrative process development. The second part covers consideration on interoperability for e-Business and public administration. The third part includes analysis of what standardization is demanded for interoperability of e-Government agencies and how different countries' governments are prepared to ensure such interoperability in public administration in the light of documents, institutional norms and open standards.
The contribution covers discussion on informal university learning, which is a part of heutagogy. In the paper, the university learning is considered as autopoietic organization development as well as development of business organization strongly dependent on external knowledge resources. In general, university education space covers formal, informal, and non-formal learning. Nowadays, informal learning has an excellent opportunity for development, because of Web 2.0 ideas and solutions. In the paper, the architecture of informal learning environment is visualized in ArchiMate 4.0 beta version language. The main goal of the paper is to present informal learning architecture as supplement to the formal learning. The MOOCs (massive open online courses) are included in the architecture model for informal learning support.
In this paper, knowledge workers are assumed to actively realize knowledge management tasks. They are involved in the gathering, analysis, storage and dissemination of knowledge in a way that is focused on its improvement. Therefore main goal is to present system architecture models for knowledge management in information science domain. In that domain, Design Science Research (DSR) is discussed as being very useful and adopted in this paper for knowledge management. The author applied the ArchiMate modelling language and supplemented it with the process approach and Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN) for knowledge management process presentation, as well as by the case management approach and Case Management Model & Notation (CMMN). These notations are consistent and complementary, although they have different objectives of usage.
