BACKGROUNDPityriasis Rosea (PR) is an acute, inflammatory dermatosis of unknown cause, characterized by self-limited oval papulosquamous lesions distributed on the trunk and extremities. Seasonal incidence of PR differs widely. Clinical presentation of the disease may vary. PR may be atypical in appearance or distribution of lesions. Since there were discrepancies in various studies, it was thought worth to study the changing clinical patterns and epidemiology of Pityriasis rosea.
