StreszczenieWstęp: Objawy zmian w ciele, które towarzyszą kobietom w okresie okołomenopauzalnym, stanowią przyczynę wielu problemów zdrowotnych i psychologicznych. Wpływają także na jakość życia oraz samoocenę.Cel pracy: Celem badania była analiza poziomu samooceny i satysfakcji z życia w kontekście doświadczanych objawów menopauzalnych u kobiet w tym okresie.Materiał i metody: W badaniu wzięły udział 82 kobiety w wieku 45-58 lat. Do pomiaru zmiennych wykorzystano wystandaryzowane kwestionariusze psychologiczne i ankietę własnej konstrukcji.Wyniki: Wiek kobiet korelował negatywnie z wynikiem w skali mierzącej poziom zadowolenia z życia (ρ Spearmana = -0,336). Stosowanie hormonalnej terapii zastępczej przez ostatnie pół roku związane było z wynikami w skali samopoczucia w zakresie częstości (ρ Spearmana = -0,247) i intensywności (ρ Spearmana = -0,258) objawów somatycznych. Wynik w skali samopoczucia w zakresie częstości objawów psychologicznych pozytywnie korelował z wynikiem w skali samooceny (ρ Spearmana = 0,263). Co więcej, wyniki w skali mierzącej objawy somatyczne w obu podskalach częstości i intensywności były ujemnie skorelowane z wynikiem w skali SWLS (ρ Spearmana = -0,291 i -0,284).Wnioski: Starsze kobiety w okresie okołomenopauzalnym niżej oceniają swoją satysfakcję z życia. Kobiety, które częściej i intensywniej doświadczają somatycznych objawów menopauzy, częściej stosują hormonalną terapię zastępczą. Kobiety, które doświadczają częstych objawów psychologicznych związanych z menopauzą, mają niższą samoocenę.
