Partindo da noção heideggeriana de quadratura, esse artigo visa descontruir cisões e dicotomias presentes no pensamento tradicional da psicologia, a saber, as noções de subjetividade e de objetividade, e na esteira desses termos, as noções de indivíduo e de social. No pensamento de Heidegger pós viragem, encontramos noções contrárias ao antropocentrismo, mais radicalmente do que os escritos publicados próximos a “Ser e tempo”. A quadratura convoca para uma nova visão em relação ao mundo e ao ser humano, apresentando uma interrelação entre esses termos irremediavelmente uníssona. Somos os mortais da quadratura; mostraremos, porém, como a finitude que nos é constitutiva pode se mostrar como algo distante, quando nos tornamos meramente sujeitos. Para nos ajudar nessa caminhada, conclamamos a noção de Coisa no pensamento de Heidegger, que contribuirá para uma visão des-encapsulada do existir humano. Pensamos a alteridade contando com alusões ao pensamento heideggeriano, mas indo além dele, para contrapor a concepção individualista que se tornou hegemônica ao longo da tradição do pensamento ocidental. Através desse percurso, visamos debater a postura-ação almejada pela psicologia fenomenológica e hermenêutica.
