Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte und Veröffentlichungen sind zu den Themen Kinder-und Jugendhilfe, Schulsozialarbeit sowie Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung. www.uni-due.de Am Beispiel der Schulsozialarbeit kann gezeigt werden, welche grundsätzlichen Methoden es zum Nachweis der Wirkungen Sozialer Arbeit gibt und wo deren Vor-und Nachteile liegen.Wie in anderen Arbeitsfeldern der Jugendhilfe setzt sich auch in der Schulsozialarbeit zunehmend das Bedürfnis durch, eigene Wirkungen empirisch fundiert abzubilden. Im Folgenden werden Zugänge vorgestellt, mit denen sich die Jugendhilfe für gewöhnlich ihrer Resultate vergewissert. Im Anschluss wird dargestellt, inwieweit diese Zugänge auch in der Schulsozialarbeit anzutreffen sind. Abschließend wird diskutiert, welche Vor-und Nachteile mit diesen Zugängen einhergehen.
