As Práticas Integrativas e Complementares em Saúde (PICS) tem como propósito a integralidade e a complementariedade da rede de saúde, tornando uma assistência mais holística no processo de cuidado ao indivíduo. O objetivo foi identificar e compreender o conhecimento e a percepção de profissionais médicos que atuam na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) do município de Santo Estêvão sobre as PICS, com o intuito de elucidar as dificuldades e/ou facilidades para a implantação dessas práticas. Utilizou-se a pesquisa de campo, de caráter descritivo-exploratória, com abordagem quanti-qualitativa, trazendo a análise de conteúdo temático-categorial para discussão dos dados. Na coleta de dados, foram utilizados o questionário e a entrevista, sendo esta última com amostra de 4 médicos. Foi identificado que 75% dos participantes afirmou conhecer as políticas, nacional e estadual, sobre as PICS e compreender que são recursos terapêuticos que diferem do modelo biomédico. Além disso, apresentam tempo de atuação profissional na rede e em suas referidas unidades, o que pode favorecer o vínculo médico-paciente, embora não tenham qualificação especializada em PICS. Percebeu-se ainda que há o interesse dos profissionais médicos na implantação das PICS na APS do município, entretanto, necessita haver um incentivo da gestão local na formulação das políticas que alicerçam essas práticas.

OBJETIVOS: Analisar o conhecimento sobre as Práticas Integrativas e Complementares em Saúde (PICS) por parte das enfermeiras da Atenção Básica do município de Santo Estêvão - BA. MÉTODOS E MATERIAIS: Trata-se de um estudo de campo, de abordagem qualitativa, com quinze enfermeiras das Unidades de Saúde da Família do referido município. A coleta de dados se deu em duas etapas utilizando questionário e entrevista semiestruturada. Foi utilizada a análise descritiva para os dados do questionário e a análise de conteúdo para os dados da entrevista. RESULTADOS: As enfermeiras do município não possuem formação para atuação com PICS, bem como demonstram pouco aprofundamento no conhecimento das práticas e ainda reforçam argumentos biomédicos para justificá-las no SUS. Apesar disso, reconhecem o potencial das PICS no cuidado complementar e atendimento humanizado, e apontam como desafios e impossibilidades para a materialização de uma política municipal as lacunas na formação especializada e a ausência de incentivo financeiro. CONCLUSÃO: Reconhece-se o potencial das enfermeiras, no município de Santo Estêvão - BA, sensibilizadas e mobilizadas para o processo de discussão sobre implantação das PICS como recursos terapêuticos que podem ampliar o cuidado à saúde de toda comunidade assistida.
O estudo teve como objetivo analisar a associação entre a prática de AF e a prevalência dos TMC em servidores técnico-administrativos da UEFS durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico de corte transversal, realizado de forma online, cujos instrumentos de coleta de dados foram a versão longa do International Physical Activity Questionnaire e o questionário Self-Report Questionnaire – 20. A análise estatística identificou que, entre os 143 servidores que participaram da pesquisa, 55,2% manifestaram TMC, e 60,0% tinha um alto nível de AF. Além disso, os dados demonstraram que não houve associação estatisticamente significativa (p<0,05) entre a prática de AF e a prevalência de TMC (p-valor= 0,731). Contudo, não podemos categorizar os indivíduos de forma seccionados e a instituição precisa oferecer uma assistência para verificar o sofrimento psíquico a que este público está submetido neste contexto pandêmico, a fim de contribuir e para melhorar a saúde desses profissionais.
