Experimentally investigates heat dissipation by different longitudinal fins fitted to a cylindrical heat sink under natural convection conditions. Five aluminum fin configurations at base temperatures (70°C, 85°C, 100°C, and 115°C) were studied. The first fin was plain (fin1), while second fin had a triangular edge (fin2). The rest fins have the same triangular edge but with six 1cm circular perforations near the edge (fin3). While the perforations in fin4 were in the middle longitudinal fin length. The last fin (fin5) had twelve 0.5 cm circular perforations distributed into two columns. The measurements were validated with theoretical correlation with an acceptable deviation. The results showed that fin2, fin3, fin4, and fin5 dissipate more heat by 2.4%, 8.7%, 11.4%, and 5% than the flat fin with 9.8%, 11.85%, 11.85%, and 10.82% weight reduction, respectively. The heat transfer coefficient enhanced by 7.98%, 16.81%, 12.35%, and 5.44% for fin5, fin4, fin3, and fin2, respectively. Large circular perforation was more effective to dissipate heat especially when located near the heat source as in fin4 which gives the best heat dissipation with more weight reduction. The proposed fins efficiency were greater than 92%.
An experimental investigation has been made to study the influence of using v-corrugated aluminum fin on heat transfer coefficient and heat dissipation in a heat sink. The geometry of fin is changed to investigate their performance. 27 circular perforations with 1 cm diameter were made. The holes designed into two ways, inline arrangement and staggered in the corrugated edges arrangement. The experiments were done in enclosure space under natural convection. Three different voltages supplied to the heat sink to study their effects on the fins performance. All the studied cases are compared with v-corrugated smooth solid fin. Each experiment was repeated two times to reduce the error and the data recorded after reaching the steady state conditions. The results showed that the v-corrugated fin dissipate heat twice and triple times than flat plate mentioned in past research with the same dimension. Also, the inline perforated fin gave higher enhancement percentage than solid one by 15, 32 and 36% for 110, 150 and 200 V voltages supplied. Finally, the staggered perforation arrangement gave the higher enhancement percentage with 22, 42 and 45% for the same voltages supply.
An experimental study was done to investigate the effect of fin geometrymodification and material type on heat dissipation from a heat sink under natural convection.v-corrugated solid fin and v-corrugated perforated fin were designed for this purpose.Aluminum and Copper metals were selected in designing the fins because their wideapplication in cooling and heating equipment. Three different voltages 110, 150 and 200 Vsupplied to the heat sink to study their effects on the fins performance. Each experimentrepeats two times to reduce the error and the data recorded after reaching the steady stateconditions. The utilization of solid and perforated v-corrugated fins is compared. The resultsshowed that perforated fins dissipated heat more than corresponding solid by 15.4, 34 and32% for aluminum, and 2.7, 2.1 and 4.3% for copper fin in the three voltages. Also, theresults indicated that the heat loss by solid copper fin is greater by 56, 72 and 92% thancorresponding solid aluminum fin and for perforated fin case by 38, 31.7 and 51.9 % at110,150 and 200 V respectively.
Vehicular Ad_hoc Network (VANET) is a sophisticated elegance of devoted cellular network that permits automobiles to intelligently communicate for different roadside infrastructure. VANETs bring with it some of demanding situations associated with Quality of Service (QoS) and performance. QoS relies upon on many parameters which includes packet transport ratio, bandwidth, postpone variance, records latency, etc. This paper, discuss numerous troubles associated with latency records, bandwidth usage, and transport of packet in VANETs. The demanding situations have been recognized in offering security, reliability and confidentiality of posted records. Finally, numerous packages of VANETs also are introduced in the modern computing scenario.
