The present paper deals with cubic B-spline approximation together with -weighted scheme to obtain numerical solution of the time fractional advection diffusion equation using Atangana-Baleanu derivative. To discretize the Atangana-Baleanu time derivative containing a non-singular kernel, finite difference scheme is utilized. The cubic basis functions are associated with spatial discretization. The current discretization scheme used in the present study is unconditionally stable and the convergence is of order O(h 2 + Δt 2 ) . The proposed scheme is validated through some numerical examples which reveal the current scheme is feasible and quite accurate.
The purpose of this work is to study the memory effect analysis of Caputo–Fabrizio time fractional diffusion equation by means of cubic B-spline functions. The Caputo–Fabrizio interpretation of fractional derivative involves a non-singular kernel that permits to describe some class of material heterogeneities and the effect of memory more effectively. The proposed numerical technique relies on finite difference approach and cubic B-spline functions for discretization along temporal and spatial grids, respectively. To ensure that the error does not amplify during computational process, stability analysis is performed. The described algorithm is second-order convergent along time and space directions. The computational competence of the scheme is tested through some numerical examples. The results reveal that the current scheme is reasonably efficient and reliable to be used for solving the subject problem.
The study aimed at examining the effect of reciprocal teaching strategy on students’ academic achievement in the subject of general science at elementary level. The objectives of the study were; (i) to investigate the effect of using reciprocal teaching strategy on academic achievement of 5th grade students, (ii) To investigate the effect of reciprocal teaching strategy on high achiever and low achiever of 5th grade, (iii) To observe the participation of the students in reciprocal teaching strategy. Sample of the study was consisting of 40 students studying general science in class 5th. A Pre-test Post- test equivalent group design was used to conduct the study. For collection of data teachers made test and observation sheets were developed. Statistical techniques such t-test, percentage, S.D and mean were used to analyze the collected data. The study is equally significant for students, teachers, curriculum developers and future researchers. It was found that the participation of students was significant in reciprocal teaching strategy during treatment. The participation of students in reciprocal teaching strategy reported an increasing trend after the first week to week 6.With the help of reciprocal teaching strategy students readiness to learn, their attention to reading and listening, their ability to generate questions from the text, their activeness during the discussion and their confidence about sharing their ideas in a group increased hundred percent. Reciprocal teaching had great effect on student’s academic achievement.
The focus of the research work is to report on research from the curriculum interventions that explored whether undergraduate university students are proficient enough in communication skills for social and academic purposes, moreover, the perception of students about their communication skills is studied and factors are identified that may have contributed towards their strong or poor communications skills in the English language. The study includes 300 undergraduate students, from four different programs and institutes. A survey having a questionnaire of 52 items is used and information obtained is sorted out with the help of SPSS in order to get a full and detailed picture of various patterns and themes. The findings of the survey establish that students having a better language learning experience at the school level perform better in their communication skills course at the university level.
