Tomando como pauta las lecturas hechas por María Zambrano y José Lezama Lima del Diario de campaña de José Martí, glosamos el último texto escrito por el patriota y escritor cubano para sugerir que estamos no solo ante un testimonio sobre la guerra sino, esencialmente, ante una interpretación mística del amor a la Patria.
Vivir «entre dos mundos» fue considerado por María Zambrano como un privilegio. Amó su exilio, eso también dejó dicho. Fue, entonces, una pionera del pensamiento transatlántico que brotó de su experiencia vivida. Feminista también, avant la lettre, supo crear en cada espacio de su vida y obra relaciones de paridad con intelectuales de varios países. Este ensayo en dos notas relata parte de esos diálogos lejanos en el tiempo pero aún ejemplares.
