Touch-trigger probes are commonly used both in coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and in computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools. In both cases accuracy of measurement of the overall system and probing unit are closely interrelated. Key parameters of the probes are repeatability and pre-travel variation dependent on adjustable stylus force. To enable testing of the triggering force of the probes, the new setup was developed. The principle of the method and set-up is presented and its validity is experimentally confirmed.
BADANIE DOKŁADNOŚCI POZYCJONOWANIA OSI OBROTOWYCH WIELOOSIOWYCH OBRABIAREK CNC ORAZ BŁĘDÓW WOLUMETRYCZNYCHW pracy przedstawiono metody i urządzenia pomiarowe oraz diagnostyczno -kalibracyjne osi obrotowych i błędów wolumetrycznych obrabiarek sterowanych numerycznie CNC.
ANALYSIS OF CNC MACHINE TOOL VOLUMETRIC AND ROTARY AXIS CENTRE POSITIONAL ERRORSThe following paper presents methods and equipment for the measurement, monitoring and calibration of CNC machine tool rotary axis and volumetric errors. A detailed analysis of three measuring systems was conducted: AxiSet™ Check-Up, XR-20 rotary axis calibrator, LaserTRACER and LaserTRACER-MT. The paper presents rotary axis measurement with tools for conducting external measurements, e.g. the combination of XR20 and a laser interferometer, and methods consisting in master ball displacement evaluation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
