En el presente ensayo realizamos una reflexión teórica y política en torno a los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria desde una perspectiva feminista, argumentando cómo éstos también pueden ser expresiones de la violencia sexual contra las mujeres. Abordamos dos fenómenos concretos, considerando la práctica de la cosificación del cuerpo de las mujeres. En primer lugar, las ‘dietas’, práctica socialmente aceptada, que proponemos aquí entender como una forma invisibilizada de violencia asociada a la autocosificación. En segundo lugar, la anorexia, trastorno que en ocasiones puede llevar a la muerte, muerte en torno a la cual proponemos realizar una reflexión vinculada con la categoría de feminicidio en un sentido amplio. El abordaje de ambos fenómenos busca abrir la discusión sobre los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria más allá de la medicina y la psicología, visibilizando las formas en que la violencia se oculta en las prácticas naturalizadas que incluso las propias mujeres ejercen sobre sí mismas en una sociedad cisheteropatriarcal.
