Background Acute anterior dislocation is the commonest type of shoulder dislocation. Subsequently, the shoulder is less stable and more susceptible to redislocation, especially in active young adults. Objectives To compare surgical versus non-surgical treatment for acute anterior dislocation of the shoulder.
