The possibility of red mud (waste of aluminum production) use as an alternative sorbent of molybdate, phosphate and bichromate ions from water solutions was studied. The paper shows dependence of adsorption of these ions from pH and concentration of electrolyte. The way of activation of a red mud surface was developed.
In this study, the authors investigated the possibility of using of red bauxite slurry (waste of alu- minum production) as adsorbent of ions of heavy metals from aqueous solutions. It was studied the dependence of adsorption of zinc cations and the pH of the nickel and the initial concentration ofaqueous solutions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
