This paper presents the convergence analysis of the filtered-X least mean square algorithm for narrow-band active noise control with direct-form realization. Theoretical bounds are established for the maximum eigenvalue and the eigenvalue spread of the reference signal's covariance matrix, which in turn provide insight into algorithm convergence and optimization. In order to improve the convergence speed, amplitudes of sinusoidal reference signals are chosen to be the inverse of the magnitude responses of the secondary path at the corresponding frequencies.Index Terms-Adaptive filtering, active noise control, adaptive noise cancellation, convergence analysis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
