Orbital cellulitis is an infection located behind the orbital septum. The origin of this infection is often a complication of sinusitis. The symptoms and signs that accompany orbital cellulitis depend on the extent to the intraorbital structures and may produce eye pain, chemosis, proptosis, ophthamoplejia or visual acuity reduction. Clinical suspicion is very important because the prognosis depends on early diagnosis and treatment. We present two cases in which ocular pain was the symptom of suspected orbital cellulitis.
