The present paper introduces new current profiles for torque ripple reduction of the SRM. A reduction method using the ideal current profile for instantaneous flat torque has been proposed [1]. The problem with this method is that, as the rotation speed increases, the real current cannot keep up with the reference for the requirement of a high di/dt. This results in increasing torque ripple in the high-speed region. In order to overcome this problem, we propose a novel method for improving the traceability of the real current by changing the reference shape. The validity of the newly obtained current reference was examined by MATLAB/Simulink-based simulations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
