Cocrystallization is an emerging method to optimize physicochemical properties of pharmaceutically active compounds including dissolution rate and stability. The main aim of this study was to increase the solubility by cocrystal approach and characterize the cocrystals (1:1) involving tadalafil and salicylic acid which were prepared by solvent evaporation method (crystal form I), neat grinding method (crystal form II), co-grinding method (crystal form III). The prepared cocrystals were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction studies, Fourier Transfoorm Infrared Spectrophotometry, microscopic studies, solubility and dissolution studies. The prepared cocrystals showed increased solubility than the pure drug
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
