The double differential cross section, the vector analyzing power, and the tensor analyzing powers for the He(d, p)n He reaction were measured at 12 and 21 MeV deuteron energy and in steps of 5 between 15' and 75' in the laboratory system. The experimental results are compared with the Faddeev calculations, in which three cases for the treatment of the neutron-proton interaction are tested. As a result, we can demonstrate what interaction is effective on each observable.

Analytical equations have been derived for the transmission factor applicable to the case of a rather weakly absorbing sample of circular cross section and larger than the x-ray beam. Calculations are presented for liquid nitrogen and it is shown that under certain practicable conditions the transmission factor is constant for a rather wide range of the scattering angle.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
