This paper analyzes the aspects of power quality issues such as harmonics distortion and their effects in charging the electric vehicle. The harmonics produced is measured by using fluke power quality meter. The on-board and off board chargers are also discussed with their circuit diagram. It includes the fluke meter for measuring the harmonic distortion that occurs in the charger of the electric vehicle. The harmonics produced in the charger is measured and analyzed using simulink model also. The harmonic disturbances generated are also noted. The recommendations and suggestion based on the result analysis are also discussed
Electric vehicles were introduced in the year of 1908, where they have larger battery for power supply. Now- a- days the technique for charging e-bikes is done either by using grid supply or solar power. This paper says about charging circuit for batteries which uses both solar power and power from the grid to charge the electric vehicles. The charging with solar helps to reduce the emission from power grid. Ever-increasing demand for fuel supply, rising fuel prices, and increased environmental awareness among masses are paving the way for electric vehicles (EVs). Although, in recent years EV market has seen an exponential growth, one of the major challenges faced by this automotive/vehicular market. Now the Indian government had ordered to Indian Vehicle Association to launch the electric vehicles with in 2023. But the charging of electric Batteries has taken more time, which compare to fossil fuel and gas. To overcome this issue use of turbo charger, to reduce the charging time as well as self charging by solar during running time is proposed. The charger uses the source from EB grid and solar as well as at parking time. The results proves that proposed work have reduced the charging time of the lithium ion battery compared to the conventional charging technique and all under controlled temperature raise.
Fire explosion is among the main reasons for death in the world. The urban spaces have a lot of population, many systems have control over fire detection but not over control of fire due to lack of functionalities. The operation of the robot depends on the android application on the smartphone. It can also be communicated using Wireless fidelity technology. The motion detection technology is embedded in it, which can identify the objects or obstacles. With Arduino microcontroller and IoT technology, this robot can send emergency alerts in critical conditions, explore the compounds, and effectively check for the fire. The entire robot was contained in the sensor-based network, and if the sensors fail to detect, the robot still will operate and extinguish fire with the help of an inbuilt camera. Finally, this robot is tested for operation in automated mode and live video buffering capability.
